Noodling Catfish Equals Paul Ryan…Detroit–Foreshadow of America and the World…Dark Dots (DHS ammo, domestic military, purposeful racial incitement)…Corn Power…and Tips For Mitt

Ahh the look on the liberal TV interviewer’s face when Ryan talked of noodling catfish, and other down home stuff. The promised ugly description of Detroit–the legacy of failed government involvement, control and wasted funds, with predictably disastrous results–so disastrous your eyes will cross–and it is exactly what the federal government is doubling down on a national level–we can expect the same results. Remember Reid’s shows describing sinister Executive Orders, and ads for guards for internment camps for Displaced Civilians? How about the report by Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) on the enemies of America back in 2009 that caused an uproar–returning vets, Christians, conservatives, tea party folks? Do you recall the ominous warnings of the DHS whistle blower, “Rosebud” revealed here as reported in the Canadian Free Press? Here are some more than worrisome dots on the DHS–their increase in ammo buy to 750,000,000 rounds from the 480,000,000 requisition in April–much of that long outlawed hollow points–and other agency purchases of ammo, armored vehicles, and other wartime goodies. Couple that with recent articles on domestic full scale military scenarios by an arm of the military putting down a Tea Party uprising, blessed by Obama, and Neapolitano, and it all starts to tie in. Think the price of corn is a “so what?”. Wrong–very wrong. Batten down the food cost hatches. And, our Tips for Mitt segment–how about a judo move on those tax returns, Mitt? You can do it!

25 Facts About The Fall Of Detroit That Will Leave You Shaking Your Head

By Michael Snyder, on July 20th, 2013

It is so sad to watch one of America’s greatest cities die a horrible death.  Once upon a time, the city of Detroit was a teeming metropolis of 1.8 million people and it had the highest per capita income in the United States.  Now it is a rotting, decaying hellhole of about 700,000 people that the rest of the world makes jokes about.  On Thursday, we learned that the decision had been made for the city of Detroit to formally file for Chapter 9 bankruptcy.  It was going to be the largest municipal bankruptcy in the history of the United States by far, but on Friday it was stopped at least temporarily by an Ingham County judge.  She ruled that Detroit’s bankruptcy filing violates the Michigan Constitution because it would result in reduced pension payments for retired workers.  She also stated that Detroit’s bankruptcy filing was “also not honoring the (United States) president, who took (Detroit’s auto companies) out of bankruptcy“, and she ordered that a copy of her judgment be sent to Barack Obama.  How “honoring the president” has anything to do with the bankruptcy of Detroit is a bit of a mystery, but what that judge has done is ensured that there will be months of legal wrangling ahead over Detroit’s money woes.  It will be very interesting to see how all of this plays out.  But one thing is for sure – the city of Detroit is flat broke.  One of the greatest cities in the history of the world is just a shell of its former self.  The following are 25 facts about the fall of Detroit that will leave you shaking your head…(Read More)

New Detroit-Area Homes Demolished as Housing Project Goes Awry

By Sheree R. Curry

The Detroit area remains one of the top 10 metros for foreclosed and vacated homes. Its abandoned residences often become hideouts for drug users and prostitutes, and occasionally scenes of murder. So it’s no wonder that government officials want to simply tear down many of these homes. But in the community of Highland Park, Mich., several of the homes recently demolished were nearly new and never owned after a neighborhood revitalization project turned disastrous. And even the wreckers hired to do the job expressed shock at the waste.

“The project was supposed to transform a derelict section of Highland Park into a model neighborhood,” reported Detroit TV station WXYZ. But a lot of the homes built just eight years ago are now abandoned, stripped, burned and now being demolished by the state as a part of its “Michigan Blight Elimination Program.”

Just recently, several homes built this decade were marked for demolition alongside some 60-year-old homes. (See the demolition slideshow below.) “Four houses over, there were abandoned homes more than 30 years old, but they had me come take out a new one,” Bill Koresky, the owner of Able Demolition hired to raze the homes, told AOL Real Estate. “I called the inspector. I said ‘There is no way I can rip these down. There are new doors, new windows. The interior has not even been painted yet.’ ” (Read More)
